AI call answering and booking while you're on a job

Relay answers calls and texts, recognizes returning customers, gathers what the job is about, and checks your schedule before offering a time. If the customer reports a safety issue or asks something Relay should not decide, you get the conversation on your phone.

From first response to booked job

Calls and texts stay in one customer conversation and follow the same service-area, booking, and handoff rules.

  1. 1

    Answer calls and texts

Relay responds during the hours you choose, including when you cannot stop work to answer.

  2. 2

    Recognize the customer and equipment

A returning customer's address, equipment, and service history are available in the conversation.

  3. 3

    Gather the job details

Relay asks about the problem, confirms the service address, and collects the information needed to book the service.

  4. 4

    Offer an arrival window

Relay uses the same availability and customer windows used for website booking, then confirms the time the customer chooses.

  5. 5

Create the job and send confirmation

When the address, service, and time are confirmed, Relay creates the job and sends the customer the appointment details.

Safety escalation and owner takeover

Safety escalation

A reported gas smell or another safety hazard is not booked as ordinary service. Relay gives the safety instruction and alerts you immediately.

When you take over

After you reply, Relay stops automated texts in that conversation. Choose Let Relay continue when you want Relay to resume.

Calls reach you or Relay

Keep the business number customers already know. During business hours, calls ring the people you choose. If no one answers, Relay takes over; after hours, it answers immediately. Before you pick up, you see who is calling, their property, membership, upcoming work, and open estimates.
